In this letter from the field, authors propose that person-to-person (P2P) science diplomacy can bring positive change between Israelis and Palestinians, as illustrated by the work of an organization called STEP (Science Training Encouraging Peace).

It is an apt time for early-career scientists to learn about opportunities at the intersection of science & diplomacy.  

The Eurasian Medical Education Program was established in 1995 to share clinical and scientific knowledge with Russian physicians in Russia during a time of transition following the collapse of the Soviet Union. 

A broader intellectual foundation as well as integrated and systematic education approaches are needed in order to educate S&T-savvy international relations professionals and train science diplomats.
